Embody Therapy

About Amy

I bring a unique perspective to therapy, shaped by my background in fitness and my lifelong passion for movement. Working in personal training and behavior coaching, I saw firsthand how physical activity can be a powerful tool—not just for the body, but for the mind and emotions as well. Over time, I noticed that clients often used sessions as spaces to share their stories, express emotions, and explore personal growth. These experiences deepened my understanding of the body-mind connection: how our bodies hold memories, emotions, and sometimes unprocessed experiences, and how movement can support healing and self-awareness.

Expertise

I am currently registered with CRPO as a Registered Pyschotherapist (Q), certified personal trainer and behavioural coach.

Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in helping clients live authentically, honoring both their physical and emotional wellbeing. I believe that change is most powerful when it integrates body, mind, and heart, and when it is guided by a sense of self-awareness and choice. I am passionate about supporting people in reconnecting with their bodies, discovering their values, and creating lives that feel true and aligned.

Modalities include:

  • Person-Centered Approach

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
