Healing happens when we come home to the body.
Trauma-informed counselling and EMDR for individuals and couples navigating overwhelm and healing after difficult experiences

Trauma-informed counselling and EMDR for individuals and couples navigating overwhelm and healing after difficult experiences
- You feel tense, on edge, or emotionally flooded even when things seem "fine" on the surface.
- Your body reacts before your mind can make sense of what is happening.
- Certain moments, tones, and conflicts feel bigger than the present situation.
- Past experiences continue to shape how you relate to yourself and to others.
- You're tired of managing, coping, and pushing through, and you want something to feel different.
- You understand why you feel the way that you do, but insight and talk therapy alone haven't brought relief.
Trauma-informed therapy is offered that honours both the mind and body.
Using EMDR, somatic approaches, and relational therapy, we'll work together at your pace to help your nervous system find the relief it needs.

Welcome, I'm Amy-Rose (she/her).
I am an Indigenous cis-gendered therapist who grew up in poverty with a single mother, in an environment where resilience was necessary and support was not always readily available. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how systemic and personal challenges can shape the way we see ourselves, our bodies, and our relationships with others.
From a young age, I learned the importance of self-awareness and connection as tools for growth and wellbeing. Movement—particularly running—became a way for me to regulate stress, stay grounded, and create moments of clarity. Over time, this appreciation for physical and mental health deepened into a respect for how closely our emotional wellbeing is tied to our bodies, environments, and relationships.
These experiences ultimately led me into the work of counselling. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and supported in ways that honor both their inner world and lived reality. In my work, I aim to create a space that is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in respect—where self-awareness can grow and meaningful connection can take root.

Hi, I'm Brooke (she/her).
I am a white, cisgender, heterosexual, straight-bodied woman who lives with ADHD and anxiety. My path into counselling is deeply rooted in lived experience. Growing up, I faced significant adversity, including childhood maltreatment, navigating life with a learning disability, and exposure to domestic violence. These experiences shaped my understanding of how trauma can impact self-worth, relationships, and the nervous system—often in ways that aren’t immediately visible to others.
Rather than defining me, these experiences inspired a strong commitment to healing, self-compassion, and meaningful change. They allow me to meet clients with genuine empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story. I believe healing happens in safe, collaborative spaces where clients feel seen, believed, and empowered at their own pace.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, and I am passionate about supporting individuals as they reconnect with their strengths, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and regulated.
We acknowledge that the land on which I live and practice, in what is now called Kelowna, is on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation.
